# How data appears in Claude

MosoFin returns financial data to Claude in response to a user request. It does not continuously copy the QuickBooks company into Claude.

## Information used for a request

A request can include:

* Your prompt and reporting instructions.
* The selected MosoFin workspace and agent context.
* Results returned by permitted QuickBooks read tools.
* A saved skill's instructions when you choose to run one.

Claude uses this information to produce the answer shown in the conversation. When Claude is used, requests and resulting content are also processed under Anthropic's terms and privacy practices.

## Typical outputs

Claude can present:

* Financial report summaries.
* Period comparisons and variance explanations.
* Lists of invoices, bills, or accounts requiring attention.
* Follow-up analysis based on the returned source data.
* Draft client explanations and review notes.

The answer is informational and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Verify material figures against QuickBooks and apply professional judgment before acting.

## Audit history

The MosoFin Activity log records visible source tool calls and policy changes. It does not replace the Claude conversation history, and the Claude conversation does not replace the MosoFin workspace audit log.
