# BigCommerce

BigCommerce can be used as a read-only commerce data source in MosoFin. This reference covers the documented order, catalog, customer, promotion, transaction, and inventory fields that support analysis.

## What this reference covers

* Orders, order line items, shipping, and taxes.
* Products, variants, categories, and inventory by location.
* Customers and customer addresses.
* Promotions, coupon codes, and payment transactions.

## Read-only policy

The catalog only describes `GET` endpoints and fields that can be queried. It does not include any create, update, archive, capture, refund, or delete operation.

## Explore the catalog

* [Metrics and dimensions](/source-and-destination/sources/bigcommerce/metrics-and-dimensions.md)
* [BigCommerce data fields](/source-and-destination/sources/bigcommerce/metrics-and-dimensions/field-reference.md)

> **Availability:** A field can be queried only when BigCommerce is included in the account plan, connected to the workspace, and permitted by MosoFin's enabled read-only tools.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.mosofin.com/source-and-destination/sources/bigcommerce.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
